HAPPY BIRTHDAY The New York Public Library celebrates the 150th anniversary of the Atlantic Monthly with a daylong program of eight discussions. Talks include “The World in 2050: China as a Superpower?” and “The Art of Disarmament.” “Gluttony” is a conversation about how to map a new culinary frontier in the face of technological innovation in the city’s top kitchens. Featured panelists include an author of cookbooks, Barbara Kafka, an owner of Babbo restaurant, chef Mario Batali, and a food critic, Corby Kummer.
