NORTHERN STAGELIGHTS Judith Thompson’s “I Am Yours” receives its New York premiere from Canuck Productions, which brings Canadian plays to New York City. The play is a dark drama about obsessive love and family complications. GODFATHER AND SON Darren Murphy’s “Tabloid Caligula” is staged as part of the Brits Off Broadway theater series. It follows an aging gangster, his young protege, and the woman who inevitably comes between then. Lisa Forrell directs. JULIE REJUVENATED Craig Lucas’s adaptation of August Strindberg’s 1888 drama “Miss Julie,” about an artistocratic woman who has an affair with her father’s butler, is based on a translation by director Anders Cato. Mr. Lucas is nominated for a Tony for Best Book of a Musical for “The Light in the Piazza,” now playing at the Lincoln Center Theater.
