PETITE PLAYS The International Toy Theater Festival is a showcase for a type of children’s theater that was popular in the 19th century. The plays featured cut-out paper “actors” on miniature sets and stages, which children could also purchase for playing with at home. During the 10-day festival, St. Ann’s Warehouse is segmented into small-scale theaters, where artists from Germany, Canada, Mexico, and all over America converge. The festival also includes family performances (Sundays, 1 p.m. and 3 p.m., $10 children), workshops (Saturdays, 1-4 p.m.), and a temporary toy-theater museum (opening reception: tomorrow, 5-7 p.m.).
