IF THEY CAN MAKE IT HERE … Told in the style of vaudeville, “Big Times” is a story about three young women who come to New York in search of a theatrical break. LOVE AMONG THE STARS Don Nigro’s “My Sweetheart’s the Man in the Moon” depicts the love triangle between Evelyn Nesbit; her millionaire husband, Harry Thaw, and the architect Stanford White, whom Thaw shot and killed in 1906 in the Madison Square Roof Garden. Mark Pinter, Timothy Altmeyer, and Kit Paquin star. Amy Feinberg directs the production. ROUGHS IN THE DIAMOND Paul Boocock’s one-man show “Boocock’s House of Baseball” includes the “redemptive stories” of diamond stars Derek Jeter, Reggie Jackson, Pete Rose, Jason Giambi, and Darryl Strawberry, along with a few political potshots and some physical comedy. Mr. Boocock examines contemporary American life through the lens of the country’s favorite pastime, a sport he believes is “the final frontier of democracy.” Mr. Boocock is a member of the experimental theater troupe Elevator Repair Service.
