Q-Poll: Hillary Beats All Comers

In the latest Quinnipiac University Poll, released this morning, Hillary Clinton beats all comers — both in the Democratic primary and in the general election. Rudy Giuliani comes closest among Republicans to keeping pace with New York’s junior senator, losing by only 50%-42%.
In the Democratic primary, Mrs. Clinton leads with 44% of the vote. Not so hot on her heels are Barack Obama and Al Gore (not, ostensibly, running), tied at 14%. John Edwards brings up the rear at 9%.
On the Republican side, Mr. Giuliani leads with a hearty 52% of the vote. John McCain comes in second with 13%. George Pataki registers a rather surprising 6%, apparently among Republicans who have suffered recent head injuries. Mitt Romney comes in at 4%, with Fred Thompson hot on his heels at 3% (hey, the guy’s a New York City DA — he’s got a base here).
Perhaps of some interest is how the various players have moved since the last Q-Poll of New York state in February. There’s hasn’t been a ton of movement, truth be told, but there are a few data points probably worth looking at…
