HOUSTON (AP) – Astronauts James Reilly and Danny Olivas were planning to keep their eyes on their gloves Monday during the first spacewalk of Atlantis’ visit to the international space station. A new spacewalking procedure requires astronauts to examine their gloves after every task to make sure there are no cuts in them. NASA put the procedure into place after astronaut Robert Curbeam last December apparently cut an outer layer of his glove during a spacewalk.
