A carjacker is on the run from police after accosting another man and stealing his new car yesterday in the South Ozone Park section of Queens, police officials said.

The suspect flashed a gun at the victim yesterday at 10:40 a.m. as he was walking toward the front gate of his home on 122nd Street, and then demanded the keys to his grey 2007 Jeep Cherokee, police said.

After stealing the vehicle, the suspect was last seen driving south on 122nd Street towards Conduit Avenue, police said.

The victim was returning home from a local hair salon where he had dropped off his wife, police said.
