A former receptionist at the Sid Jacobsen Jewish Community Center in East Hills, N.Y. was indicted yesterday on 20 counts by a grand jury for racking up more than $15,000 in charges to Neiman Marcus, Bergdof Goodman, and Saks Fifth Avenue, using credit card information stolen from 18 members of the Jewish Community Center. Elizabeth Young, 22, has been charged with stealing names, credit card numbers, and other personal information from charge slips she obtained at work, and selling it to her friends. The indictment, announced yesterday by the District Attorney of Nassau County, Kathleen Rice, came after a six-month investigation into identity theft taking place at the center. The department store charges were eventually reversed so that the stores incurred the losses.
