A Brooklyn man charged with stabbing his girlfriend is facing new charges for the fatal stabbing of a second girlfriend and her 12-year-old son, who survived.
The defendant, Jacques Dorcinvil, 31, was extradited from Florida in May for the murder of Maria Santiago, 34, the Brooklyn district attorney, Charles Hynes, said yesterday. In that case, Mr. Dorcinvil allegedly stabbed Santiago because he believed she stole from him.
He was indicted yesterday on charges for an earlier murder in 2003, that of Claudette Marcellus. He allegedly stabbed her, killing her, and also allegedly stabbed her 12-year-old son, Brian, who lived. Mr. Dorcinvil faces 25 years to life if convicted of either murder.
