The union representing 250 nurses at Cabrini Medical Center has filed a complaint against the hospital, which closed Monday, over unpaid wages and canceled health benefits.

In a complaint filed with the National Labor Relations Board, the New York State Nurses Association charged the Gramercy Park hospital with canceling health benefits for nurses in February. Union officials said some nurses who were laid off did not receive severance packages. Other nurses have seen paychecks bounce.

State health officials forced Cabrini to shut down on Monday after the hospital was unable to make payroll.
