Suspected Robber Traced by Stolen Phone

A suspect behind two separate robberies of tourists at Manhattan hotels was taken into custody yesterday in Boston after detectives traced him to a cell phone stolen during one of the robberies, police officials said.

Ernal Qoshja, 22, was arrested by a team of New York City detectives and local authorities in Hyde Park, Mass. for the gunpoint robbery of a Georgia family at the Millenium Hotel in Tribeca and the robbery of a woman, who he hit several times in the back of the head with a gun, at the Roosevelt Hotel in midtown, police said.

Mr. Qoshja stole a cell phone during the robbery at the Millenium Hotel, police said.
