An unlicensed drunk driver hit and killed an elderly man late Monday night in Queens, police officials said.

The suspect, Diana Toro, 29, who does not have a valid drivers license, fled the scene after she hit the 81-year-old victim, Franz Fuerch, at the corner of Metropolitan Avenue and 74th Street in the Woodside section of Queens, police said.

Police arrived at the scene and rushed Mr. Fuerch to Elmhurst General Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Ms. Toro is being charged with second-degree vehicular manslaughter among several other charges, police said.
