Katherine Keough, 61, Led St. John Fischer College

Katherine Keough, president of St. John Fisher College in Pittsford, N.Y., since 1996, died Saturday of bone cancer. She was 61.
Keough was St. John Fisher’s fifth president.
The school in suburban Rochester added more than 20 academic programs and doubled its enrollment under her leadership.
Keough was the founding dean of the School of Education and Human Services at Canisius College in Buffalo.
