It was a ladies’ luncheon, with all the likely suspects, but the presentations drew men, too. Massachusetts State Senator Robert Antonioni and the chief executive of EMC Holdings, Philip Burguières, spoke about their depression openly, each with the goal of encouraging other men to seek treatment.

The event raised $1.15 million for Fountain House, an organization which provides support to people with mental illness.
