Tomorrow night at the Bryant Park tents, a cadre of high-profile designers will show off creations inspired by, of all things, their favorite Peanuts Gang characters. The legendary cartoon, created by Charles Schulz, was the jumping off point for “Snoopy in Fashion,” a runway show featuring original ensembles by Heatherette, Isaac Mizrahi, and Betsey Johnson, among others. Thanks to the creative director of Pamella Roland, Pamella DeVos, a leggy Peppermint Patty will get an extreme makeover, walking the runway in a sheer, sparkly blouse and short shorts. Following the fashion show, which is sponsored by MetLife — the insurance and financial services company’s advertisements feature Snoopy — the catwalk creations will be auctioned off on eBay. Proceeds will benefit Dress for Success, a nonprofit organization that provides clothing and career services to needy women.
