Two additional health insurance carriers will comply with a doctor-ranking model devised by the state Attorney General, Andrew Cuomo.

UnitedHealthcare and Group Health Incorporated/Health Insurance Plan of Greater New York announced yesterday that they would implement ranking programs that reflect transparency and accountability. The programs will inform consumers how much of the ranking is based on cost.

A total of five carriers now comply with Mr. Cuomo’s model, including Cigna, Aetna, and Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield.
