Two New Executives Hired at Dow Jones

The chief executive of Dow Jones & Co., Richard Zannino, said he will resign as News Corp. moves ahead with plans to install a new management team that will be led by a veteran News Corp. executive, Leslie Hinton, and the editor of the Times of London, Robert Thomson, Dow Jones reported on its Web site.
News Corp. is expected to appoint Mr. Thomson to oversee the editorial operations of Dow Jones, reporting to Mr. Hinton.
Mr. Zannino’s resignation highlights the changes about to sweep through the company, News Corp’s acquisition, expected to be approved by Dow Jones shareholders at a meeting next Thursday, will end nearly a century of control by the Bancroft family.
