PRETTY PAPER
Collages by Frances Stark are on display at CRG Gallery.The spare, often whimsical creations in “In and On an Unergonomic Mind” incorporate string, feathers, gold leaf, cut-up junk mail, and ribbons. Many collages include proportionally large white spaces punctuated by delicate ink drawings or tidy rows of paper. COLONEL COLLECTION
Photographs, drawings, and videos by New York-based Israeli artist Ofri Cnaani are on exhibit in “The Colonel and I,” which closes tomorrow. In the video “Quartet,” four women slowly destroy a sculpture so thoroughly that by the end, their hands are covered in powder.
