BACK IN TIME The New-York Historical Society and the Young Friends Committee revisit the 1920s in “An Evening at the Society: Recalling the Speakeasy Era,” a benefit for the New-York Historical Society’s educational programs. There will be cocktails and live music, and period dress is encouraged. Thursday, March 9, 7-10 p.m., the New-York Historical Society, 170 Central Park West at 77th Street, 212-485-9266, $75.
