LONG DAY OF FUN Families can celebrate the longest day of the year at an event featuring transformative face painting by Agostino Arts, music by the Main Squeeze Orchestra, and snacks from Sage American Kitchen. SOLSTICE, SWEDISH-STYLE The Swedish Midsummer Festival invites New Yorkers to celebrate the summer solstice in the Swedish tradition – on the Friday closest to the solstice – by picnicking, gathering flowers for headdresses, and listening to Scandinavian music. Barnklubben Elsa Rix and the Swedish Folk Dancers perform. Friday, 5-8 p.m., Robert F. Wagner Park, at Battery Place and West Side Highway, 212-267-9700, free.
