CONFIDENTIAL ‘CONFIDENTIAL’ Director Terry Zwigoff’s forthcoming “Art School Confidential” is screened in a sneak preview this weekend. After the screening, Mr. Zwigoff joins screenwriter Daniel Clowes and the chairman of the National Society of Film Critics, David Sterritt, for an in-depth discussion of the film. Messrs. Zwigoff and Clowes also collaborated on “Ghost World.” Sunday, 7:30 p.m., Makor, 35 W. 67th St., between Central Park West and Columbus Avenue, 212-415-5500, $25.


MAJOR SHORTS The Brooklyn Lyceum and Asbury Shorts NY present “An Evening of the World’s Best Short Films,” a theatrical presentation of classic award-winning short films, such as “Zen and the Art of Landscaping” and “In God We Trust.” Showings will take place weekly beginning this weekend. Sunday through May 27, 7 p.m., Brooklyn Lyceum, 227 Fourth Ave., between Union and President streets, Brooklyn, 718-857-4816, $10. Note: There is no screening April 23.
