PAGES FROM THE PAST The Brooklyn Museum opens a new exhibit, “Egypt Reborn,” which showcases more than 30 books focusing on Western fascination with the ancient land. It includes an illustrated color plate by Giovanni Belzoni depicting the Temple at Ybsombul in Nubia. Opens Friday, on view Wednesday-Friday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m., Saturday and Sunday, 11 a.m.-6 p.m., Brooklyn Museum, 200 Eastern Parkway at Washington Avenue, Brooklyn, 718-638-5000, $8 general, $4 seniors and students, free for members and children.
