IRAQ VIEWS John Crawford, whose memoir “The Last True Story I’ll Ever Tell: An Accidental Soldier’s Account of the War in Iraq” (Riverhead) gives an account of his experiences in Iraq as a member of the National Guard, talks with a reporter for the Nation, Christian Parenti. Mr.Parenti’s new book is “The Freedom: Shadows and Hallucinations in Occupied Iraq” (New Press), a collection of dispatches from in and around Baghdad.
