AFTER THE REVOLUTION Joanna Chan’s new drama “Ren Ah, Ren” (“You, Oh You Humans”) is based on a 1980 novel by Dai HouYing about life in China after the Cultural Revolution. Ms. Chan directs for the Yangtze Repertory Theatre of America. The play is performed in English. IMMACULATE CONCEPTION? In William Leavengood’s “Little Mary,” a teenager claims to have been impregnated by God, a la Mary, and two Catholic leaders struggle over the meaning of her story. Ron Orbach stars as Bishop Peter Tivoli, a progressive church leader who has transformed his California mission into a farming collective. Cardinal-Dean Victorio Gian (Jeremy Lawrence) encounters the insistent girl when he is dispatched to the scene by the Vatican. Jessica Kubzansky directs.
