A 58-year-old man from Manhattan was killed yesterday morning on the no. 6 train at the City Hall station when he was pinned between two train cars and fell to his death on the tracks. Jose Montanez, who police officials said may have been walking between cars to urinate, got stuck as the cars inched closer together rounding a sharp curve.
The accident occurred just after 8 a.m. and caused delays on the no. 4 and no. 6 lines for about two hours. The no. 5 train was rerouted to the no. 2 line between 149th Grand Concourse and Nevins Streets stations for most of the morning.
