MAN ELECTROCUTED

BY SUBWAY THIRD RAIL

A 41-year old man was killed last night when he fell onto the third rail of the northbound C train tracks at the Spring Street station, police said.

According to witnesses, the man was apparently intoxicated and was urinating from the edge of the platform when he fell onto the tracks, struck the third rail, and was electrocuted.

Police said northbound C train service was disrupted as ESU workers removed the body from the tracks. A C train was approaching the station when the man fell, and the train had to be halted and its passengers evacuated.
