MISS SIXTY
Leave it to Miss Sixty to bring 1960s art-house glamour back to the runway. Inspired by Andy Warhol’s film “Chelsea Girls” (1966), the collection, presented yesterday, mixed layers of draping fabrics with stiffer, more tailored silhouettes. Many looks featured cinched waistlines, thanks to the patent leather belts and half corsets that accented bold prints in yellows, browns, and creams. Denim designs were also prevalent, as were sleek cigarette pants. Creative director Wichy Hassan’s standout numbers included a silk jumpsuit in navy with a narrow waist and ruching.

BILL BLASS
The departure of designer Michael Vollbracht left Bill Blass’s spring collection in the hands of the design studio team: Prabal Gurung, Ana Carolina Coelho, and Tyler Rose. Inspired by the Bill Blass archives, their smattering of party dresses seemed targeted to a youthful audience — perhaps one that’s looking forward to next year’s senior prom. Structured dresses with tea-length hemlines and sweetheart necklines made for a proper affair. Occasional details attracted notice, such as a pretty underskirt of rosettes that peeked out from under a blush silk satin dress, or a beautiful arrangement of pebble-like mirrors on a black tulle gown. But dresses trimmed in gray metallic lace seemed to have been trucked in from the local mall.

ERIN FETHERSTON
Erin Fetherston’s fashion show featured a combination of airy, mostly white cocktail dresses, ethereal grayscale evening gowns, and more casual attire, such as high-waist shorts and minidresses in soft, muted tones. The accessories — jewel-embossed turbans and decorative headbands — added an exotic element to the presentation, where show-goers included the actress Zooey Deschanel.

CHARLOTTE RONSON
At Charlotte Ronson’s runway presentation, lightweight denim was a unifying theme — showing up in dresses, pants, jumpers, and hoodies. Catwalk looks also included a bevy of silk blouses and dresses in geometric-patterned prints. The show was a family affair for the designer: Her twin sister, DJ Samantha Ronson, spun the music, and their younger sister, Annabelle Dexter-Jones, walked the runway.
