DOG DAYS
In Patte Loper’s paintings, technology marches on without humans. A Chihuahua peers out of a small space capsule, deer gambol in a stylishly mod living room, and forest rituals incorporate flower garlands and space helmets. It doesn’t seem like the animals in “Everything Beautiful Is Far Away” constructed the buildings they live in, but they’re adapting well. Through Saturday, April 23, Tuesday-Saturday, 11 a.m.-6 p.m., lyonswiergallery, 511 W. 25 St. at Tenth Avenue, no. 205, 212-242-6220, free.
