SALAD DAYS The summer group show at ACA Galleries, “Summer Salad,” includes paintings by Jacob Lawrence, Romare Bearden, and Gertrude Green. Luis Jimenez contributes a fiberglass rabbit sculpture and a painting of a steamy country-music club. ANIMAL KINGDOM The summer group show “Animal Tales” features paintings, drawings, and photographs of the furry and feathered among us. John Nickle curated the show. OWENS IN AMERICA The exhibit “Bill Owens: America” features previously unpublished photographs from Mr. Owens’s work during the 1960s, when he captured turbulent rock concerts and political demonstrations. The show also includes photographs from his four most famous series, “Suburbia,” “Working (I do it for the money),” “Our kind of people,” and “Leisure.” Most of Mr. Owens’s work documents the lives of middle-class Americans, taken in a landscape of McDonald’s patios and cul-de-sacs.
