GONG GANG The creator of “The Gong Show,” Chuck Barris, celebrates the rerelease of his first novel, “You and Me, Babe” (Carroll & Graf), with a reading and discussion. First published in 1974, it’s about a romance between a bluecollar hustler and a New York City heiress. Mr. Barris is also the author of the autobiography “Confessions of a Dangerous Mind” (Miramax), in which he claimed to have worked as a CIA assassin throughout his television career.
