BRONX CHEERS The first Bronx Artist Festival, featuring theater, fine art, and film, takes place in a cluster of venues in the borough. The festival opens tonight with rides on the Bronx Culture Trolley, which will shuttle attendees to a series of performances and installations. The evening includes performances by Latin jazz trumpeter Ray Vega and poet Baruch Israel (6-7 p.m., Hostos Center for Arts and Culture, Repertory Theater) and excerpts from one-woman shows by Latina playwrights and actresses Elizabeth Marrero, Desi Moreno-Penson, Wanda Raimundi-Ortiz, and Alba Sanchez (6:35-7:15 p.m. and 7:35-8:15 p.m., Pregones Theater). Festival: Today through Saturday, locations and times vary, free. Please go to www.bronxarts.org for a full schedule.
