COUNTRY GAMES In the 1952 French film “Jeux interdits” (Forbidden Games), a young girl rescued during an air raid on occupied Paris runs into even more trouble in her new home in the country. The film is screened as part of the French Institute/Alliance Francaise’s series of films about or made during the occupation of France. The series was originally presented by the Ministry of Foreign Af fairs in France. LOVE, ETC. CineWomen NY, a nonprofit organization dedicated to the advancement of women in the film industry, presents “The Calm … After the Storm,” a series of four shorts by female directors. The program features “L-O-V-E,” directed by Tamiko Joye Ball; “M.,” directed by Arzuna Veloz; “Beautiful City,” directed by Patricia Mulcahy, and “Sparks,” directed by Virginie Danglades.
