GARBO THE GREAT In celebration of the 100th anniversary of Greta Garbo’s birth, Scandinavia House presents the film series Forever Garbo. Up next: Garbo stars in parts one and two of the Swedish silent film “Gosta Berlings Saga” (1924). Her performance and Mauritz Stiller’s direction so impressed Louis B. Mayer that he invited both of them to Hollywood, launching Garbo’s American career.
