SWEET TREATS
The owner of Chocolat Moderne, Joan Coukos, leads a tasty tour through her chocolate factory. Wine and chocolate will be served, and Ms. Coukos offers tips on adapting recipes to home kitchens. Volunteers can help out at each stage of the preparation process.The event is sponsored by the French Institute/Alliance Francaise. Saturday, 2-4 p.m., Chocolat Moderne, 27 W. 20th St., between Fifth and Sixth avenues, no. 904, 212-307-4100, $80 general, $60 members, reservations required. Note: The temperature will be 680, so appropriate dress, including an apron, is encouraged.
