TASTE OF SPRING
The restaurants at the World Financial Center offer sample menu items at “Spring’s Palate,” a tasting event. Tomorrow, 11 a.m.-3 p.m., World Financial Center, Winter Garden, 220 Vesey St., between the West Side Highway and North End Avenue, $1-$4 each item.
GOODNESS SAKE
The founding president of the International Sake Association, Chris Pierce, conducts a tasting and seminar of 10 premium Japanese sakes. Among them is “Iki na Onna” (Lady Luck), which is brewed in limited amounts for the Association of Lady Sake Retailers. Chef Keishi Rikimaru prepares sushi and sashimi to accompany the drinks. The event is sponsored by the New York chapter of Women Chefs and Restaurateurs.
