DEATH BECOMES HIM The Merchant’s House Museum is swathed in black crepe for the exhibit “Coffins and Crepe,” which explores death and mourning in the 19th-century home. It includes the deathbed of Seabury Tredwell (1780-1865) and the front parlor recreates his funeral at home. Through Monday, November 7, Thursday-Monday, noon-5 p.m., Merchant’s House Museum, 29 E. 4th St., between Lafayette Street and the Bowery, 212-777-1089, $8 general, $5 seniors and students, free for members and children under 12.
