JONES FOR JAZZ Jazz at Lincoln Center’s first season in its new Columbus Circle location draws to a close with several concerts celebrating trumpeter and cornetist Thad Jones. The Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis performs interpretations of Jones’s work, including new arrangements by trombonist Vincent Gardner. Guest performers include tenor saxophonist Billy Harper, also saxophonist Jerry Dodgion, and pianist Marc Cary (Thursday-Saturday, 8 p.m., Rose Theater, 212-721-6500, $10-$150). CROONING CAMPBELL Southern singersongwriter Kate Campbell performs in a concert co-sponsored by WFUV. Jake Armerding, an acoustic bluegrass singersongwriter from Massachusetts, is the opening act. MERRY MELODIES A concert of trios, duets, and solos for winds by Georg Philip Telemann, Joseph Bodin de Boismortier, and Johann Mattheson takes place in Manhattan’s oldest house. Gregory Bynum plays recorder, Andrew Bolotowsky flute, and Arnold Greenwich oboe.
