SPECIAL OCCASION Pianist Harry Connick Jr. and saxophonist Branford Marsalis perform music from their new album, “Occasion.”The event takes place on the final evening of the 2005 JVC Jazz Festival. CENTURY OF SOUND The Naumburg Orchestral Concert Series kicks off its 100th straight year of free outdoor music in Central Park. The opening concert, conducted by Christoph Campestrini, features the work of Darius Milhaud, Aaron Copland, Igor Stravinsky, and Leonard Bernstein.
