GREED IS GOOD In Moliere’s “The Miser,” an old man hoards his money, preventing his frustrated children from marrying their chosen mates. GRAND NIGHT Dicapo Opera Theatre presents “A Grand Night for Singing,” a revival of the Tony-nominated 1994 Rodgers & Hammerstein revue. The show features dozens of Rodgers and Hammerstein songs, from “Oklahoma” to “The Sound of Music.” Singers include Broadway veterans Joan Barber, Joy Hermalyn, and Rob Lorey. SPIRITUALISM ONSTAGE In John Chatter ton’s play “Beyond the Veil,” set in Victorian England, an agnostic scientist begins to believe in an afterlife after he meets a medium who accurately predicts a personal tragedy. Soon the scientist begins a series of experiments to prove the validity of spiritualism. Mr. Chatterton directs his own play, loosely based on the life of Sir William Crookes, who performed extensive experiments with a psychic named Florence Cooke.
