“Mix, Remix, Edit,” a new furniture collection by Philippe Cramer for Bernhardt Design, is a study in contrasts. His “Mix” and “Remix” tables ($5,000 and $2,500, respectively) feature rich walnut tops over transparent Lucite legs, creating the illusion of floating surfaces. His “Intermix” lounge chairs pair transparent Lucite seats with walnut frames ($1,275). And his “Edit” dining chairs place a bent plywood seat in a solid wood frame: the chairs can be customized in multiple combinations of lacquer and wood finishes with seat options of leather and upholstery ($560).
Mr. Cramer’s collection, which debuted this week, represents the Swiss designer’s introduction to the American market.
