Man Shot and Killed in the East Village

A man was shot in the head and killed in the East Village last night, police said. The man, who was not identified by police, was in his 30s and had 12 prior arrests for drug dealing, police officials said.
The shooting happened yesterday evening near the corner of 13th Street and Avenue D.
The victim was taken to Beth Israel Medical Center, where he died. Police said they had not arrested any suspects as of yesterday evening.
