A man who fired at a police Lieutenant in Queens on Saturday night was wielding a pellet gun, police officials said yesterday.
The shooting took place after police confronted an armed suspect in the Queens Village section of Queens, police said.
When the suspect refused to drop his weapon, an exchange of fire ensued, police said. The suspect was shot in the stomach.
