With Halloween approaching, finding the perfect costume for the “little princess” can be daunting. An online specialty boutique developed by another pair of entrepreneurial-minded moms, Prissy Poofs, makes a variety of costumes designed from the traditional ballerina’s tutu.

Each piece is delicately handcrafted with yards of tulle. The upscale frilly skirts and dresses ($30.95–$49.95) are made to please the little girl who loves to dress up year round. The line includes a white wedding gown “BridalPoof”; a “CloudPoof,” which looks very much like it fell from the sky, and a “PartyPoof,” perfect for the birthday girl. For Halloween, the “SpookyPoofs” selection includes a ladybug, cowgirl, reindeer, and Santa tutu (accessories included). Costumes are available in a range of sizes to fit newborns through children ages 7–8. For more information and to purchase, visit prissypoofs.com.
