Mexx is known for sexy, trendy gear that doesn’t break the bank. But a quick trip through the Fifth Avenue shop recently turned up a wrap of unexpectedly clever design. This gray wool and acrylic sweater ($59) has fitted sleeves and an exaggerated waist that can be tied, tossed, or wrapped in any way you like. When knotted in the front, the fabric produces a scarf-like effect. When wrapped around the chest, it’s a tight v-neck shirt – with a discreet knot in the back. And if you really want to have some fun, ask the Mexx salesperson to show you all the tricks.
