BUENOS AIRES, HERE WE COME

Although not officially open until November, the new Philippe Starck designed Faena Hotel Universe in Buenos Aires will make some rooms available starting September 15. The Faena Hotel Universe inhabits the 7-story El Porteno Building, a former grainery and century-old landmark overlooking Rio de la Plata. It sits between the city center and an ecological preserve. In lieu of a reception desk, a personal “experience manager” welcomes each individual upon arrival, ushering the guest along the indigenous dark lapacho wood corridors, and catering to the visitor throughout the stay. Room start at $300 and include private transfer from the airport, access to a business center, and a pool and gym.
