An American freelance journalist was abducted by armed men in the heart of Baghdad on Tuesday evening, snatched near one of the Iraqi capital’s most prominent streets in broad operational view of the city’s security forces — and multiple Baghdad-based sources tell the New York Sun that the Iran-backed militia Kataib Hezbollah is believed to be behind the kidnapping.
