LONDON (AP) – The American dollar was mixed Wednesday against other major currencies in European trading. Gold prices rose.
The euro traded at $1.3340, down from $1.3344 late Tuesday in New York.
Other dollar rates compared with late rates Tuesday included: 117.40 Japanese yen, down from 117.95; 1.2117 Swiss francs, down from 1.2143, and 1.1599 Canadian dollars, up from 1.1578.
The British pound traded at $1.9624, down from $1.9656.
Gold traded in London at $665.60 per troy ounce, up from $664.00 late Tuesday. In Zurich, gold traded at $663.75, up from $662.15. Gold rose $6.60 in Hong Kong to $665.80.
Silver opened in London at $13.30 per troy ounce, unchanged.
