AVAST, YE BIRDIES The New York City Audubon Society presents a sunset cruise in Jamaica Bay. Expected bird sightings include egrets, ibis, peregrine falcons, and osprey. Participants will enjoy a wine and cheese reception while on board, and will learn about the history and ecology of the area. Sunday, 4:30-7:30 p.m., departure from Pier 6, Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn, 718-318-9344, $35, reservations required.
