WORK? NO, THANKS The French ode to unemployment “The Comedy of Work” (1987) is screened as part of a series of films by New Wave director Luc Moullet (Friday and Saturday, 7 p.m.). Other highlights: Mr. Moullet’s most recent film, “Shipwrecked on Route D 17” (2003), a Gulf War comedy that throws together a race car driver, a couple of astrophysicists, a shepherd, a film crew shooting a Western, and a lost military patrol hoping to capture Saddam Hussein in the Alps (Friday and Saturday, 9 p.m.). SCHOOL OF ROCK Detroit’s Andrew W.K. – a musician given to bizarre yet eloquent speeches about the benefits of rocking and partying – plays live keyboard after screenings of the documentary “Andrew W.K. – Who Knows?” The film follows his first four years in the music business. FASSBINDER’S FASHION An ongoing series of screenings of films by the prolific German filmmaker Rainer Werner Fassbinder continues with “The Bitter Tears of Petra von Kant” (1972), about a successful, cruel fashion designer who has an affair with an aspiring model.
