HUDSON HOEDOWN Downtown Manhattan gets a little bit country as the Australian country crooners the Waifs share a double bill with West Texas singer-songwriter Jimmie Dale Gilmore. SHAW PLAYS ON The final summer concert of the Washington Square Music Festival highlights the late clarinetist, bandleader, and composer Artie Shaw, one of the first musicians to blend jazz and classical music. “A Night Under the Rainbow and Stars” will be performed by the 11-piece Felix Swing Band, with guest cellist Lutz Rath and clarinetist William Blount. KALEID0SCOPE OF KEYBOARDS The seventh annual International Keyboard Institute and Festival presents a recital by Leslie Howard (tonight). Mr. Howard also participates in a colloquium examining Franz Liszt (Friday).
